Holy Crap.... almost 95% done! I really wanna finish this super early. I am so close I can taste it! My story is nowhere near done but I don't think I am really concerned about that. I think that this will be an ego booster and make me feel better. To actually accomplish something (remember word goal not novel) will mean a lot to me. George died. It is really sad and I wish I didn't have him die but I kind of had to. I had him in Chapter 2 but didn't write him in chapter 4.... so chapter 3 was his death. It was kind of a crappy goodbye but I didn't want to start crying at work! I've already been having bad enough days, let's not let my novel drama take over! Anyway... it's going great and I am almost there! I only wish I could submit early and run awayyyyy from it all! Ta!

Na na na na.... na na na na NA! Eighty percent done! I am almost there and I can taste the victory! My stupid characters got themselves engaged which really creeped me out but it happened. I feel like the story is writing itself. I mean I am at 40,000 and I still don't have a chapter 3. Chapter 1 and 2 are done and I am writing away at chapter 4 but no chapter 3. I have ideas written down for it but I have a feeling it just might not happen. My shoulders are starting to kill me. This posture of mine has become atrocious. At least before I was novelling I was not hunched over, deep in thought. This month might end me. I am glad I am almost there. I feel like I am falling to pieces. I might kick my novel in the face. My writing is stupid sometimes. It just feels like I am going through the motions. This is not entirely untrue.  I am le tired. I am going on my break in 7 minutes. The end (almost). I AM COMING FOR YOU 50,000 WORD GOAL! See you tuesdays... cuz imma eat you.

Well folks that time is here. I am halfway through the month and 60% done! It feels great to be ahead. I have set a new timeline for myself and I want to be done by the 26th. This way I can submit for winning the day after it opens. I will not be at work on the 25th or I would choose that day obviously! This is not a tight goal as I only have 20,000 (actually less but thats ok!) words to go. This means I only have to complete 3334 words a day! And that does not include the 26th so I do have extra writing time in there someplace! I am really psyched and I want to get this done as fast as possible! I am enjoying the ride and I can always edit and write more later I just want to get my word count out of the way so the stress is gone and it can be creative flow from here on out.  I did not expect to get this far! I am really proud of myself and I know I sound full of myself but YAY ME! Progress. I am doing it right. Feeling better about myself. I am doing it right. Ta!

Oh my gosh I didn't even update my blog yesterday! What a jerk I am! I hit the half way mark :) I ended yesterday with 25,044! The word count I am at so far today is the title :) Just in case this seems confusing I figured I should explain! Anyway, I worked out my personal daily goals since I am working on only writing 20 days this month. Yesterday's goal was only 20,000. I am way ahead of schedule and this makes me really happy! I want to finish early, I want to be completed by the 26th. Since I can submit anytime after the 25th I would like to win and be done ASAP. I know this seems kind of weird but I need this. I need to win and I need to be redeemed. Even if the novel is not done I will feel way better if I actually finish the 50,000 goal.

So here is to progress and success! ONWARD!

YES! TWO FIFTHS CLUB! I have made it this far and I am proud. Boom goes the dynamite. I needed to make sure that I would get this far because I have only been writing at work. It is a long weekend too so I had to make sure I was caught up all the way to Monday. I might write more we will see how it goes but for now.. 40% only 7 days of writing? I feel good.

Bask in whatever moment of glory you choose. I update my word count on the nano webpage everywhere between 100 and 1000 words. It makes me feel good and as if I'm accomplishing things. The stats on the nano page are good too, they show you where you are at and where you should be. Also your average words per day which is helpful.

Anyway, back to "work" and possibly more of a novel!

Ah I am in a good place! Not quite to the 17,000 I would like to be at, let alone the 20,000 I dream of being at but it is a good place! I am following very well with the NaNo suggested words per day. I think tomorrow's goal is 15,000 and since I am only doing this at work I have to make sure that I keep up to a few days ahead when the weekend hits. So far so good!

My story is hurtling along at a great pace! We are on our first journey, I dabbled in a little bit of Chapter 4 today but just a bit.

Feeling great! On the way! Here we go!

Ah finally to that comfortable 10,000 mark! My story is kind of all over the map though and that is always slightly concerning. But it's nice to be able to just throw down different chapters whenever I want. I like not writing a book in legitimate order.  Side note: my boss is on the phone and it sounds like he is say-singing gangnam style. Entertaining for reals! Anyway, I am done chapter one for now and I am stuck in chapter two which is all about our first year in business. So far we have met the man that will lend us the llamas and have found a place to stay.  Meanwhile, in chapter four we have met TicTac and will be taking him on our first trip in our third year. WRITE ON!

Ah what a lovely day for the second day of NaNoWriMo. So I have worked out a plan that I hope ends up being infallable. I will only write at work and generally between the hours of 2pm and 4pm. This means I have 21 days to write 50,000 words aka 2380 words a day minimum. This is going SWIMMINGLY! I have so far written so much, at least in my eyes.

I keep jumping from chapter to chapter. I started the novel and then wrote chapter three... and I am now on chapter 2. I sometimes think that my ramblings get a bit intense and awkward but I don't think I mind because the only people who will read this book this time around will be ridiculous friends who will only find it funny. I don't have to have perfect grammar or excellent transitions...I just have to write it and finish it!

I am proud so far... rock on!

Hello 2012!

I decided to write this year for NaNo. I have a pretty boring job so I might actually get something accomplished this year. Now this might turn into several short stories or a very weird twisty story as I haven't wrote in years. I'm taking my friend Dustin's advice to write about smuggling siberian tigers over the himalayas on llama back. It is all very strange but it feels nice to be slightly light hearted for once.
